Most students spend their elective weeks at the Kenyatta national hospital. Rotations take place typically during weekdays from 7.45 a.m to 5.00 p.m . in different departments according to individual student interests and objectives.
Most learning takes place while shadowing the supervising doctor or nurse in the departments. In addition, we organise weekly lectures on first aid and global health. These classes may be online or physical.
We plan all accommodation in advance depending on student preferences. Available options include a room in a hostel, a shared apartment with other students or a whole apartment to yourself. All facilities are fully furnished and within a short distance to the hospital.
All students are housed in fenced estates with a security guard at the gate 24/7. We make sure that we accommodate our students only in neighbourhoods known to be safe and secure.
Students get 3 meals a day cooked fresh at their place by our talented cook .Food preferences may be communicated earlier and we will try our best to make sure your stomach is happy! Also, Nairobi has a huge number of restaurants with amazing world cuisines.
Our team picks you up at the airport and will see you off on your departure day. During your stay with us, we provide a private means of transport to and from the hospital plus any other places you visit as part of the program.Other available transport options include uber taxis and rickshaws (In Mombasa).
